All Cullen Wines are grown on a certified Biodynamic, Carbon Neutral and naturally powered estate. Grapes are harvested by hand on fruit and flower days according to the astrological calendar. The wines have no additions of yeast, acid or malolactic culture, and are in this sense natural wines which express the place and land on which they are grown, the vintage and the people.

Very rarely a vintage occurs which presents a unique opportunity to create something truly special. The 2012 vintage was an exceptional year, and allowed Cullen the privilege to produce an extraordinary wine.

The ‘Vanya’ is certified biodynamic, naturally fermented with no yeast, acid, malolactic culture additives, fining nor filtration. It was aged 19 months in 50% new oak. It is a pure expression of an outstanding Cullen Wilyabrup vintage.

This wine is restricted to just 4500 individually numbered bottles.

Extraordinary wine from the oldest (’71) estate plantings, wild-fermented, matured for 19 months in French oak (47% new). Deeply coloured, highly fragrant, the palate takes you on a mesmerising ride with a mid-palate peak of pure cassis fruit, then a swish of integrated savoury tannins before rising again on the dark fruit line of the finish thanks in part to 3% petit verdot.
