Clyde Park Block F College Pinot Noir 2013
The College pinot Noir Block F is the original Pinot Noir vines planted at Clyde Park in 1989. This wine was made solely from Clyde Park’s original block of close & low planted vines which are north facing, grown in rocky & black crumbling soil of extreme low yields. Hand picked, hand pruned, hand made.
40% whole bunches, wild-fermented in small open fermenters with pigeage, pressed to French oak (50% new); matured for 11 months. Outstanding colour; the perfumed, fragrant and spicy overlay to the red fruits of the bouquet leads into a long and very complex, yet immaculately balanced, palate filled with the berry flavours of the bouquet; the tannins are fine, the oak totally integrated. 97 Points James Halliday
