Part of Clarendon Hills’ ‘Grand Cru’ classification. Offers a highly elevated perfume of barbequed pork, cardamom, chesterfield couch leather, passionfruit flowers and sweet earth. Deep crimson-purple; shares the extra dimension of texture and structure with the other '10 releases, but takes it into a palate of considerable vinosity, easily able to absorb the high level of new French oak; bitter chocolate runs through the fruit; fully reflects the excellent vintage. High quality corks and heavy bottles will aid the longevity. Drink by: 2040 Date tasted: 12/Jan/2013 Price: $110.00 Alcohol: 14.5% Rating: 96 Points; James Halliday
